Dear, Magenta. You may be the 2023 Pantone Color of the year, but to us you’re the color of sweet valentines.

My adventures in travel have provided inspiration from near and far. On many levels, they have energized my artist’s eye and never-ending love for color, and they continue to be a motivating force in the designs we create at Lucy Interiors.

In British English, the term “loo” is often used as an alternative for bathroom. While a common reference to rooms without tubs or showers, we find the nickname fitting for any of our bathrooms, as they’re just as sweet and charming as the word itself.

That’s right, after months yearning to travel the world to see beauty, I dusted off my travel totes + design journal and flew to North Carolina for much needed flair.

Back in the saddle in NYC and it felt so good! I joined design friends + fab celebrities at the Future of Home 2021 event at the Metropolitan Pavilion in Chelsea.

Setting the table is one of our great loves. Creating tablescapes for the entertainer extraordinaire or prepping for the party girl makes our souls just sing.

When it comes to entertaining, we pour it on! At Lucy we love designing for parties – and thought it would be fun to show you different ways to create party playful settings.

How do you give life to a blank canvas—a tablescape, a room, a house, anywhere? How do you invoke emotion and feeling? Make it calming or exciting? Changing a mood or enhancing one? Elegant or easy-going?

You don’t have to be able to fly or shapeshift or move objects with your mind (although those would be fun!) to be a hero! It’s about choosing what to do with the powers you have.

When real estate brokerage company Redfin called upon Lucy to participate in an article revealing the most common home design mistakes, she happily offered her favorite tip.
